Bill Johnson was a long-time assistant to ex-Alabama Governor Bob Riley. In 2010, Johnson sought to replace Riley as Governor, but got only 2% of the vote. A Republican, Johnson ran on a fairly-conventional, anti-gay platform.
After the race ended, Johnson ended up in New Zealand working on earthquake recovery. His wife did not accompany him. Now, it turns out that Johnson has been “outed” by a New Zealand newspaper as a sperm donor for New Zealand’s lesbian couples.
I don’t want to give away too much of the story, but Johnson provides some unintentional laughs with his lame attempts to worm out of this scandal. These stories are well worth a look.
