Update on The Girls – 2012 – #11 – Hair Pulling and “Couscous”

C -is approaching 15 months old. A pediatrician told us that the “terrible twos” actually start around 15 months. She’s right on schedule. C attempts to take things from her older sister, pulls sister’s hair, and violently objects when sister resists.

When she is awake she always had a snack cup in her hand. She loves Ritz Bits and Teddy Grahams.

She loves sleeping with her books. She’s definitely our child, as we are a family of readers.

E – Today, she drew on the tile floor in our living room with out crayons. It was our good fortune that Lysol wipes erased the crayon.

Her speech continues to become clearer and more complex. Just a few minutes ago, she asked me to take her baby doll out of its stroller when it became stuck.

Naps continue to be a challenge. We got her some Minnie Mouse cookies at the store; when we put her down for naps, we bribe her by telling her that she will get a “surprise” when she wakes up again. Her memory is very good after those naps.

Yesterday, she said “Couscous.” It sounded funny from the mouth of a two-year old.

About mobilemojoman

I have been a Mobile resident for about a decade. Working as a college professor keeps me off the streets and pays the bills. I am married to a woman (the MojoWoman) who is a much better person than I am and we have two beautiful girls who keep us both jumping. My interests are varied - food & drink, sports, politics, exercise, books, travel, Mardi Gras, and all of life's rich pageant. In the future, I'd like to learn more about sailing, photography, Cajun/Creole cooking, making beer and wine, and writing.
